A Brief Overview
The Talent Development Specialist ("TDS") supports the Talent Development team by coordinating and helping deliver onboarding, orientation, training, and learning-related programs for JAMS associates. The TDS provides Talent Development operational support, including program logistics, learner support, scheduling, records management, learning management system ("LMS") administration, reporting, training-related analytics, and the development and maintenance of training materials and learning resources. The TDS facilitates established onboarding training and other related programming and collaborates with Talent Development team members, management, and other stakeholders to support consistent program delivery and a positive associate learning experience.

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Plays a key role in onboarding and orientation activities for new associates, including facilitating orientation, coordinating foundational Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR") technical training (e.g., Data Entry, JAMSware, and HubSpot), scheduling, communications, and new hire schedule development across all Operations and functional teams.
  • Supports Talent Development's general operational needs, including program logistics and learner support, training records management, learning management system ("LMS") administration, reporting, and learning analytics.
  • Facilitates classroom and virtual training programs and presents to large and small groups, including new hire onboarding and orientation. Assists with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of training materials, job aids, learner resources, communications, and other learning content. Serves as a conduit to instill corporate values, culture, and history for all associates.
  • Supports the coordination and administration of the JAMS Mentorship Program and other Talent Development initiatives by preparing program materials, coordinating participant communications, tracking participation, assisting with program logistics, and helping ensure consistent and engaging learning experiences across associate audiences.
  • Collects learner feedback, tracks participation and completion data, and supports evaluation of training effectiveness to help identify trends, maintain program consistency, and improve the overall training experience. Supports ensuring associates are provided with appropriate training, tools, and resources to be effective in their roles.
  • Supports onboarding new associates to ensure they feel welcome and are enculturated into the organization.
  • Helps enhance associate satisfaction and facilitates effective learning.
  • Remains current on best HR practices through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training courses as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned within similar scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related discipline. Required
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in training and learning operations or a related professional support role. Required
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting learning, talent development, human resources, operational or administrative functions. Plus
  • 2+ years For internal candidates, proven experience in case management or a similar position. Required
  • Strong technology acumen with the ability to effectively leverage technology, digital tools, and emerging platforms to enhance learning experiences, productivity, and team operations. (Required proficiency)
  • Strong ability to present and facilitate live virtual training programs. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced environment. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both written and verbal to companywide audiences. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to maintain accurate training records, prepare standard reports, and support basic review of learning data, participation trends, and program feedback. (Required proficiency)
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to employ emotional intelligence and adaptability under pressure. (Required proficiency)
  • Exposure and/or working knowledge of learning management systems, or similar tools used to manage course assignments. (Plus proficiency)
  • General understanding of the legal industry, including types of ADR, court processes, and legal terminology. (Plus proficiency)
  • Knowledge of HR and training trends and methodologies. (Plus proficiency)
